What is your current weight? 
204.7 pounds. In May 2021, my weight was 246 pounds, and my starting was 286 pounds.

How have you maintained your weight loss/continued to lose weight?
I stopped stressing. When I was stressed, I would turn to sweets, have anxiety, and lose sleep. What works for me is lots of protein, lots of water, and fruit.

Also, I’m still on Mounjaro. It helps with the appetite, but it mainly keeps the blood sugar on track. As far as exercising, my job keeps me on my toes, and I love dancing.

Looking back on the lessons you’ve learned on your journey, which one stands out the most?
Never try to compare your journey to someone else. What works for others may not work for you. I didn’t eliminate everything totally because I would crave it more. I changed up my food intake because sometimes the food options can get boring.

Would you like to offer any new or different advice to women who want to lose weight?

  • Change your lifestyle. I mean this wholeheartedly. Ease into it, and don’t take drastic measures.
  • Stay hydrated. I hated water, but with unsweetened, flavored options, I love my water.
  • Limit your sugar intake. Those temptations are ruthless.
  • Reward yourself. I love shopping. There’s nothing being able to wear an outfit that you thought was too small and being able to shop in a smaller section.
